just been on the listening party for the new album by @thomasragsmusic on @Fieldswefound called &#39;Songs of Soil&#39; built around recordings of worms he did by putting a contact mic in his compost bin. really good practice tonight for upcoming gig. I feel like I&#39;ve got an okay &#39;basic&#39; setup, I&#39;m going to spend tomorrow evening and the weekend adding more layers. Really looking forward to it

got a bit excited about a gig opportunity in the Surrey Hills, which is a drive away from me, but not super far away. Turns out I misread and it was in the Surry Hills, which is about 9000+ miles further away. Ah well (edited to correct the mileage - geography really isn&#39;t my strong point)

a solitary greengage fruit. the first I&#39;ve ever seen on the greengage bush / tree that I planted over 10 years ago. I had pretty much given up on it fruiting so this, although small, is very pleasing.

I don&#39;t know if I mentioned, but a while back I put some money into a collective purchase of a &quot;community soundsystem&quot; which between a bunch of us will be hired out and managed for events and played out. This is half the rig.
