  If we get emotionally burned out, we will end shutting parts of our brains off in order to cope, which will result in desensitizing us to the suffering of others. Preserve yourself and your humanity. Grieve and lift up your spirit. Remember that we didn’t get here overnight. It took decades of narrating and lobbying to create an environment where denunciation of Israel was equivalent to antisemitism, aka political suicide. We must work to never let these seeds take root again. #freepalestine

  @pezmico I think in retrospect it was incredibly foolish to focus on the beheading part. Children were murdered regardless, it’s really a moot point. They focused on that detail purely for the extra sensationalism, as if the massacre wasn’t sensational enough.

  @pezmico I think there is a huge uprising in popular support for Palestinian rights in the US and many western countries, even if it’s not reflected in our representatives. In the US there are so many lobbying interests and a political atmosphere that has long equated attacks on the Israeli government with antisemitism. This narrative was completely unfounded ofcourse, manufactured to move progressive support for Israel historically.
