    So tonight I was watching Erin Brockovich. In this movie based on actual events in California, PG&amp;amp;E tried to snooker a whole bunch of people into selling their houses to PG&amp;amp;E because PG&amp;amp;E had added hexavalent chromium to their cooling-water tower their plant machinery to inhibit corrosion, specifically rust. They then dumped this used coolant water into unlined ponds, which let the hexavalent chromium leach into the groundwater. The water going to a large number of houses...
