Was very fortunate to speak with a former director of mine this past weekend. Really helped me understand what questions to ask when looking g for my next workplace. A lot to think about and a lot of research to do.

have decided to try and learn go. i really want to see if i can get kraken layercake up and running and if i can use it for prod work. but first, i think i&#39;ll need to learn go as this is basically abandoned software. if anyone has any links to where i can learn go faster, please share :)

Tfw you push ansible to a lot of clusters to just start getting data, even though you know it fails on 10% of them…

And 4 hours later I think there might be a bug in the ansible code of the awx operator. It doesn’t like trying to migrate data out of a database and into an external database…. Ugh

I was never one to sit around and listen to music. Actually if there is too much noise it makes it difficult for me to think. Must be a survival mechanism that relies to heavily on being to hear everything around me. Or I grow up with some sneaky siblings…. I guess we’ll never know

I’m driven insane by engineers who claim closed binaries are inherently unreliable because the source isn’t open on GitHub. Like the WiFi router in their house was built by soldering the chips themselves built the binaries on their own, using their favorite laptop … their MacBook Pro ; ugh 😩
