What if the cosmos is way more Lovecraftian, way more absurdly strange, than what people imagine and what they can understand? Let's say AIs achieve a recursive self-improvement singularity and instantly go way past any human comprehension. The question isn't necessarily "what will they do and what happens to humans?"
