Best bits: - Circe! Woahh the pig molding!! - Sinon - Elliot Page smashed it as expected. Captivating even with a fraction of screen time - Terrifying cylops Worst bits: - Tom Holland made me want Telemachus to lose every fight - Just so Americanised: "mom" etc ๐Ÿคฎ (see above) - Mat Damon just did not convince - For a film based on an epic poem the dialogue was disappointing (see above) - Charybdis too small - Too much suitors, not enough Odyssey

The cinema is wall to wall Odyssey on both screens. Starting to feel like an immersive experience - an interminable quest to escape an all encompassing foe.

While on the subject of books....this is what I'm reading now. This book is also so good. A deep dive into the crooks, scammers and weirdos behind the crypto curtain. Zeke is also so scathing about everyone he reports on which is mostly hilarious but occasionally a bit mean. If you have any other great crypto industry book recs please let me know.

The Bluesky algorithm drains my soul like no other site. I feel duty bound to post the new book on there but it is so depressing to experience total tumbleweed! I think I will delete my account there in 2027. It is too demotivating. My newsletter, Mastodon, LinkedIn and Instagram have been great during this first round of book promo. Facebook has been good enough.

Illness induced rabbit hole has led me from watching Wayne's World (love) to watching y2k series 'Relic Hunter' with Tia Carrere as a Lara Croft-esque professor. Did anyone watch this back in the day? So many questions - do they have camels in Nepal, why won't he put his shirt back on, how is this allowed, where did that grenade come from and why..?

RE: https://mastodon.social/@SteveRudolfi/116279083767770070 This gives me a headache. One note among many: I already have a situation where goodreads has scraped my book and turned bits of my book where I quote other people (like Audre Lorde) into quotes attributed to me. Unsuspecting people then quote 'me' and then everyone gets 'called out' and I have to explain that I have complained to goodreads but nothing happens.
