  I'm not blanket anti-AI. However, there are only a handful of situations in which I genuinely need to use AI (regarding what is available in early 2026). To be clear, I am not an AI maximalist. For example, I was reading a legal form at a local brewery, and I wanted to know what "to bargain at arm's length" meant in an extremely short amount of time. Yes, I could've opened the first link few links from DuckDuckGo, but I don't read that fast on my phone.

  I thought I was going crazy when I first encountered this new form of Google's reCAPTCHA 3 days ago. I was totally taken aback, because I don't have any Google Play Services on my GrapheneOS phone (& it wasn't immediately clear to me in the moment if even sandboxed Google Play Services would work on GrapheneOS).   Wow, I explained the Monty Hall problem in a bar-like setting. I remembered my reasoning for switching doors by pointing out that deducing the correct answer is much easier when the total number of doors is made large - say, n=100 - & you pick 1 door at random. In that case, when the host opens the other 98 non-winning doors, then it's much clearer to immediately reason it's very unlikely you chose the winning door on your first try. So, you always switch doors.

  Framedeck and [Mainboard Terminal](Mainboard Terminal) are great projects that offer custom enclosures to serve as alternative Framework Laptop mainboard enclosures. I'll definitely look into them in the future.
