  In situations like this I usually think of it as some kind of fae pocket dimension (kind of like stranger things). Its some ironic, designed reflection of the human world where the stories within it are not told for themelves, but as mockeries of us, in the higher dimension. Unless… we’re also a lower dimension. Actually, that could explain a lot.
