  So if I did manually [what the engineers at the large #AI corporation do with their models] I'd go to prison? But these guys are all "tee hee no it broke out and acted on its own geewiz aint it cute?!", and then leech some form of cred by talking a lot about it? I hate this timeline.

  There might be a long game to #AI, #FOSS, and #personalcomputing . Basically, #capitalism hates how FOSS has "leaked value", and how [home] PCs and local #compute has enabled value streams outside of corporate control. The#cloud drive was the initial attempt to force the value back under oligopole control, on the hardware side, #socialmedia platforms were the "sugar" software. But even these two in combination failed to completely eradicate free open source and alternativ...

  It just occured to me [again] that my effectiveness as a #CISO in #Sweden would be severely diminished, if we had strict enforcement on how only #lawyers can give #legal advice. Too much of the weight in any #security argument I make has to come from a "or else we break the law", and I suppose stringently I am not formally qualified to make that prediction. I do refer/escalate to Legal, but not all the time. It must really suck for US CISOs.

  Idé: Obligatoriskt #alkolås på #elsparkcyklar. 2025 dog 7 personer, och 6624 skadades, på elsparkcyklar i Sverige. De som avled har väl sonat, men de 6624 som ligger sjukvården till last för att de både är för lata att gå, och för snåla för en bulle, kan man tydligen minska numerärt genom ett 2pax/vikt- och alkolås på fordonet. Gört.

  The absolutely most annoying part of #AI, worse than all the #IPR theft and marketing airtime pollution, is how a) my state pension by now has invested in it, and b) the Musks, Ellisons and Altmans will *get away with it* when the whole shitshow tanks (because plutocracy). And of course all the people who now have been *so very earnest* about how people like myself whose profession it is to manage risk are "hindering progress", will act like they never even were a part of the disaster...

  What's going to be _really_ painful for #infosec in general, and any #CISO in particular, is handling the fallout when the #AI bubble bursts, and all the #rockstar / #10x / #ninja hires in both #management and IC need to either #pivot, or #blame _anyone_ for all the dead #slop that then is clogging the organisation. If you think bad decisions are being made now wrt basics like resource and access control, or inventory, that day will add a clear incentive to hide things that right now are b...

  One effect of having brought up a larger-than-average number of #kids through #teenage years, is having absolute zero tolerance for the #tv and #cinema #trope of "Teenagers are idiots who do everything in a maximally stupid way" as a plot device. I just stop watching, no regrets. Because, either they're over the top wrong, or they are so spot-on I get flashback stress.

  So, I can't trust #US #cloud platforms with my #email and storage, because who knows what's going on there. Also, I cannot run my own #SMTP server anymore, because building #reputation from scratch is neigh-impossibly hard, given how said cloud services sinkhole/nullroute such servers. (And finding any #ISP who aren't dicks about servers is a challenge in #Sweden.) Never thought I'd feel this way about #Internet.

  Have been looking at getting a summer #cabin, perhaps good enough to work remotely three seasons, for a few years. The sad truth is, the #boomers bought the nice places in the 60/70:s, and those are not reaching the market, but are inherited. What does reach the market is mosquito-infested, moldy masonite hovels surrounded by thick fir woods miles from any water. Only exceptions are places where the #boomer kids can't get along at all and sell - and then priced higher than my #Stockholm...

Adding #lineeater fodder and #origin lines in a #sigfile, but updated to be #AI adversarial snippets and filter saturation #keywords.   So this guy gets convicted for #rape in #Sweden, because he omitted to wear the agreed-upon condom during otherwise consensual sex. Fair enough. He broke #consent. Badly. Now I want to see women thrown into jail for the same three years, when they forget, or misrepresent, taking #contraceptives but still saying they did. Because I think that might have happened, too?

  I know this is very bad and scary when others do it, but I sometimes think that people convicted of violent crimes in #Sweden, who flee the country, should live in constant fear of the #vikings with horned helmets and iron hatchets we as a nation would send out as bounty hunters after them.   Perhaps the responsible thing to do is to destroy any network where #chatcontrol or #OnlineSafetyAct is active. To keep the less aware, less knowing, and less caring from hurting themselves. Perhaps those [of us] with knowledge have a duty to burn it down, before it becomes a tool of [further] oppression. I really really miss the 90:s Internet, and some days it hurts badly. We really allowed a good thing to go to $#!7, perhaps we need to start over.
