I think it started with fluxbox, then xmonad, and I have kept the habit on gnome. I prefer have a terminal centered workflow. And multitude of adapted pre-mashed terminal environements. Even if it launches a GUI in the end. I find desktop shortcuts super messy. And it alters the beauty of my deskto...

I have adopted #nixos some years ago Today I have typed in my CLI: guix --version guix (GNU Guix) 1.4.0-unstable-2025-06-24 Copyright (C) 2025 the Guix authors License GPLv3+: GNU GPL version 3 or later &lt;http://gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html&gt; I gonna to try using it regularly, for ad-hoc local stores. It seem to install its store not in /nix/store, but /gnu/store. I like the fact it is separated. And it is in #guile : as my LISP progress is too slow... I think I am going to force m...
