My greatest challenge as a parent is discouraging my in-laws from buying too many knock-off "LEGO" sets from Amazon, which are generally nearly impossible to assemble and result in a very tearful evening with the five year old. (yes, zeroth world problems)

Had a Tesla come close enough to me (as a pedestrian) to trigger its emergency braking system today. Honest question: if we can have these fancy emergency braking systems, why can’t we have “just prevent the car from going 40mph into a crosswalk in a 25mph zone with stopped traffic in the other lane?”

House construction: this was the part that had us all the most nervous. Dropping the last ~100kg piece of stone bathroom floor into place with like 0.7cm of clearance all around. Went as smoothly as it could have, though.
