  I wasn’t at Pink Pop, but when RATM put out a VHS (yep, VHS) of their videos along with some live performances, I was introduced to Mary Morello as she famously introduced the band at Pink Pop before they took the stage. Later on, I would listen to Tom and Mary converse together when we had satellite radio. It was very apparent how much of an influence she had been not only to her son but to the wider community.
