There will be a reckoning when people want to reclaim their digital sovereignty. Unfortunately, with the current AI-driven price increases hardware is now getting priced out of the budgets of many. Using open source to breathe new life into older harder seems to be a solution to this.

  @phocks I’m not trying to defend the Fahrenheit scale but the reason a brine solution was chosen was due to the fact that the phase change was easier to see. The water/ice transition can be difficult with pure water as it can “superheat” or “supercool” due to the structure of the molecule.
