Sorry to the cat haters but I took a picture of the elusive, shy sulky cat next door when she came out to look at stuff on our corridor. She is kind of fancy #CatsOfMastodon

i don’t allow my cats to bite people (even for fun) but I cannot control my husband and his cat. HIS CAT. Summer, the calico, has a cat bed under my work desk and most of the time she is fine. She just got up and rubbed her head vigorously on my foot and that was fine then i felt 2 sharp incisors gripping the edge of my foot below my small toe and NO. SHE IS BANISHED NOW

I got here early at the gate and am waiting for them to close ticket sales so that I can find out if they will let me fly an hour earlier home. Also. I am tired. I refuse to work in an airport. (Already took a call just now so that counts as “work” right??)

I have been seeing some people conflicted about the narrator of Careless People. Yes, she definitely has blame. No, she is not a very good writer (lol). It is great because it shows how horrible Facebook/Meta management is. They are all rot. So no, don’t expect any heros to surface in that book.

So after finishing 逐玉 (Pursuit of Jade seems to be the common translated title for this Cdrama) I found the ebook (could not get my hands on the library hardcopies before travelling) and it is kind of interesting to compare the differences. And yes, the webnovel was originally titled 侯夫人与杀猪刀 which I feel is more apt. Less gravitas and poetic I guess.

RE: https://famichiki.jp/@solsetur/116639790736011427 And when you zoom out further.. There’s Naples. There’s Pompeii. “ Vesuvius has erupted many times since. It is the only volcano on Europe's mainland to have erupted in the last hundred years. It is regarded as one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world, marked as one of the Decade Volcanoes, because 3,000,000 people live near enough to be affected by an eruption, with at least 600,000 in the danger zone. Eruptions tend to be...

I slept like the dead which was refreshing, for once, but woke up with a throbbing headache. Did some chores and brushed Ketchup very thoroughly, finally reunited with the PS5. But of course, LOTS of updates pending. Hate that it is just sounds of drilling all around the neighbourhood though. #dayoff
