@funkwhale @bandcampunited I hope it won't start a trend to cancel Bandcamp though. They are still the most ethical of all music service providers by a mile

@koalie there was no one specific reason to boil down, and also I used to have a lot of difficulties during childhood I prefer not to talk about. Long story short: social interactions, sharing hobbies, getting new ones - I'm not sure I could have had either of those without the web. That kind of social connection over cities and even countries, breaking locality, helps a lot for introvert and/or neurodivergent people.

@dngrs then, frankly, I'm not curious. In fact, I don't give two flying fucks. As long as there's a platform to discuss problems, things are smooth.

@j2bryson @simon whoah, definitely the best summary I've found so far! @vortex_egg @simon even if you take marketing out, the arguments, even the obvious ones, are quite solid for it. As for the other argument, ingenuity put into bad use is ingenuity nonetheless. Sure, I'm not happy about that, but it has no other overarching effect on my opinion. For me, the future is about computers, even more so than today.

@zens@merveilles.town and however unpopular of an opinion is, Apple excelled at that.

@darwinrz @vortex_egg @simon which of these became wrong by "technologizing"? I can't see it

@zep still don't understand how Voxatron didn't become as big as Minecraft... Then again, I may have been biased, from playing Voxatron very, very early on.

Haven't posted here for a while so I take the opportunity and say that #cyberpunk2077 is one of the best gaming experiences I've had in my life. The writing had some of the most heartbreaking AND heartwarming scenes I've ever experienced. It definitely changed how I see both my life, myself, and the world around me. Not saying the game itself is stellar but for this alone it was worth it. And on top of that, it looks good, very fun, and quite immersive. It feels like I...
