Is "block path "/admin/*"" in #relayd case-sensitive? Yes. Header names? No. Header values? Yes. Cookies? No. I don’t want an 800-page #OReilly book - #relayd: the definitive guide. Wrote up how relayd matches, the new glob / glob ignorecase feature, and an old bug found on the way. https://rsadowski.de/posts/2026/relayd-matching-it-depends/

Right, that was a surprise and completely unexpected. I wanted to try out how #relayd(8) behaved on #FreeBSD. Now it turns out that #FreeBSD does not support my Wi-Fi device. That was a short journey. Bye!

New matching syntax to control the matching rules in relayd: - 1/3: https://marc.info/?l=openbsd-tech&m=179154828018868&w=2 - 2/3: https://marc.info/?l=openbsd-tech&m=179154825418826&w=2 - 3/3: marc.info/?l=openbsd-tech&m=179154829418887&w=2 I’d be delighted if prelayd users could test this and provide feedback. Best-case scenario 1: everything is as usual. Best-case scenario 2: you get an error message regarding your config and discover a config bug in your config....

One blog post is never enough. I spent the whole of Saturday morning working on my report on the EuroBSDCon and w2k26 hackathon. I’ll have a proper look through it tomorrow when I’ve got a bit more time.
