  OMG LOL. I just totally figured out who played the voice of one of the Harry Potter Full Cast characters by the way he said words that ended in the letter N (fun, on, one, etc.) and no other sounds after the N sound. I sifted through my weird mental data bank of voices and finally was able to link that particular syllable sound with Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean, then figured it out from there.   I've decided... I'm really kind of upset. I bought #Downcast for #Mac thinking it'd work. It doesn't. At present, the latest version on the latest MacOS results in the app freezing any time I go to settings to sync via the cloud or change anything. Sitting with it eats through memory until the Mac says noe and literally makes me close out of it because there's no more memory. I haven't found any other cross-platfor app that isn't subscription based apart from that one...

  Not too long after I asked if #Tweesecake had been abandoned, it gets updated. Certainly intriguing, but the keymap used for composing a post in the invisible interface doesn't bring up the new post dialogue. It looks like Windows 11 is grabbing it because I get a notification that comes up which says, "New notification from File Explorer, Error generated while getting the trace."   Hello hive mind. Does anyone know when #Downcast for #Mac will be updated, or has it been abandoned? I unfortunately am not able to do anything with it regarding cloud sync because when I open preferences, app memory usage gets so high that the entire interface freezes. If I can make it to the Clud Sync setting, letting it sit just eats emory until I get an alert that app memory has run out. I am then forced to close it. PocketCasts seems intriguing, but I don't want to have to pay a sub...

  I'm reviving this entry in the app directory again. Through a comment, yes, but I don't know how else to get AppleVis to post that it's being brought back into the light.   Seven months in Canada and finally have my Sonos system set up properly. The wifi in our bedroom is sketchy, but it seems to be functioning well enough to play music without freaking out. That wasn't the case not too long ago. I don't know if our provider updated something or what. Eventually will be getting a mesh node, I think, to help handle device loads and better distribute signal to the back of the house where our bedroom is; but for now, this works. which is nice.

  Took me three days to figure out how to and get through the process of putting my document of Proof of Relationship photos together, but I finally did it! My husband is going to be modifying a few of the photos for me so I can get one or two photos along with their captions to a page, but I was the one who put all the info together. We still have a long way to go, but that's one rather difficult part out of the way. #CanadaImmigration

  Just received the document checklist for my immigration process, along with a myriad of questions for me, my husband, and the two of us together. One of the questions is asking for photos of our wedding celebrations... a minimum of 20 photos, all put in a Word doc. In addition, we're supposed to put some information *in* the photos...
