@GottaLaff@mastodon.social Honestly, it&#39;s one of the reasons I&#39;m optimistic. Every one of these carves out a few more that aren&#39;t the most fanatical of his followers. Don&#39;t get me wrong, I&#39;m not defending him whatsoever. It&#39;s just that every time he breaks through the bottom to find another bottom, and gets coverage for saying the stupidest things he does us a favour by whittling away a few more folks who aren&#39;t completely batshit crazy...

No one wants to leave the place they call home. No one wants to be turned into a refugee. Having said that, I am genuinely curious if trans folks can apply for refugee status in up here in Canada because so much of the US has made their subjugation, harassment and outright violence and death a cornerstone of their policies and social activities.
