PSA to Medical Providers with Neurospicy patients: You see the “psych” history with “adhd” or “autism”, please DO NOT jump into psychiatry referrals when they express feelings of doom, persistent clouded thinking, or a different emotional candor. If they are also presenting to you, they are concerned it’s medically related, not psychiatric: - ADHD isn’t a mood disorder, or lack of intellect, it’s a EXECUTIVE DYSFUNCTION disorder. - Autistic brains process nervous system signals differently, a...

We’ve all heard of a RGEs [Resume Generating Events] which are bad. May I present the inverse: - CSEs [Capital Saving Events]. If you find, contain, and mitigate breaches before they become major, they should be documented. - MCSEs [MAJOR Capital Savings Events] are also the next step up. Securing and saving the business against a major intrusion event, or saving it by doing DFIR by yourself without consulting a third-party DFIR team, these should be highlighted. Estimated cost savings to the...

As I learn more about ADHD, I realize why I’ve felt different my whole life. Neurotypicals have a saying, “Time makes the heart grow fonder,” and “Time heals all wounds.” *ENTER ADHD* We deal with “bookmarks” in our emotional memory. Limerance is very common. What seems to be rumination and obsession is just the ripples of limerance and looking for relief, solutions to solve the problem. It’s two decades later and I still feel the same towards old significant others, former friends, prior bos...

FFS, New Orleans, wtf are you doing? Your leaders are, without a doubt, morons. Any security professional worth their weight and training will tell you safety exceeds security, and putting AI between 911 callers and emergency care is a disaster waiting to happen. https://futurism.com/artificial-intelligence/ai-dispatch-911-new-orleans-emergency-automation

RE: https://susanklopfertruth.com/@dheepsinque/116986866270193062 I understand both sides of this argument. I don’t think MIT is making the correct decision. In fact, I believe campus cameras should belong to a campus SOC, monitored and controlled by neither central IT or a campus police department. If footage exists, it should be governed by a seperate campus entity, one with oversight and not controlled by campus leadership. Too much surveillance, under the control of parties keen on utiliz...

Finally diagnosed and fixed the issue after burying & laying new cable. Picture and network signal is crystal clear on the camera I installed. This is a major step forward as the site I just trenched cable for is going to be home to one of my CypherCon DroneMesh nodes.

Ubiquiti fail. No where does it state the battery type used in their UP-Sense documentation. Why can’t we have nice things? Because we sure can’t document basics correctly in documentation.

ADHD isn’t a fun quirk, it’s an invisible disability, often misunderstood and misdiagnosed. It’s a different set of motivations (interests, novelty, competition, urgency, pressure). It’s a nervous system that learns to maintain the neurotypical status quo to keep the peace for everyone else while being bottled up. It comes with rapid “mood swings” which are emotional regulation dysfunction caused by… executive dysfunction. Nervous systems that struggle to keep bottled up emotions in check like a...

I should just start a smart home business. Cabling, Unifi gear, planning, racks for media servers, and HA/DR planning. The focus would be secure smart home solutions. VLANs, remote support, isolation capabilities and add-on some monitoring as a monthly charge. Least my subscribers would know someone was watching their back. Second startup would be a DFIR business.

Home Depot, your CAT6 keystones and Ethernet ends are highway robbery. $8 for a single keystone? $35 for a five pack? So I just basically paid an employee’s wages for a few hours. 🤦🏼♂️

The FLOTUS proclaims he’s, “Running for a fourth term,” last night at the WH correspondents dinner, and establishes National Guard housing in DC. It’s very clear, he’s a wannabe dictator and will not leave peacefully (mind you, he’s declaring this two years ahead of the next presidential election). It’s time to prosecute him and his co-conspirators. https://thehill.com/policy/defense/5990065-national-guard-dc-troops-housing-contract/amp/

Every damn move has come out of the Project 2025 playbook. FBI agents were trained to redact Trumps name from videos not provided to the public in the Epstein scandal. Corruption, scandals, unlawful actions, illegal shit everywhere, weaponization of government, a surveillance state, and undermining moral public officials. The damage and losses will take decades to rebuild, meanwhile the wealthy are being well taken care of while everyday Americans suffer from cuts in funding and services. Whe...
