So I am the only dweller in my home the coming week, and I become so incredibly bored when I am alone - I hate it. Anyway, this is what I have done during the last 6 hours: - Fixed the leaking toilet - Fixed the damaged toilet seat - Almost migrated my Nextcloud server - Started to migrate my Matrix Synapse server - Rebuild some furniture in order to hide the router (Wife Approved) - Installed OpenHop (Meshcore) on my raspberry pi with a MeshADV hat - Went to the gym - Bought some beer for ton...

I am once again looking at storage solutions for my homelab. Any suggestions? I would like something based on TrueNAS, with room for many 3.5" drives (SAS included). And if you live near Gothenburg - Sweden and have one for sale, let me know :)

I've had issues with Linux.Pizza's Matrix-server, mainly due to uncontrolled growth of the database. Even thou retention is set do one month, there is still an absurd amount of growth in the database. I have never encountered this before, not even with thousands of active users. I do know that other users had this issue before and have been vocal about it. Is there any solution to this yet? #matrix #linux #postgres

I did a test in Romania, #meshtastic vs #meshcore and here is the quick summary: Over 250 Meshtastic nodes found, compared to 70 Meshcore nodes. BUT Meshtastic was basically dead, no one talked, or answered anything. I only got one message with the following - "test" Compare that to Meshcore, where I got hundreds of messages and people where fast to give me recommendations regarding restaurants and places worth to visit. The meshcore coverage was also great, with some repeaters on...

We recently converted some of our infra-nodes to #meshcore , and now we have connected two (minor) cities in Sweden. Message delivery is more consistent compared to meshtastic on our case. The network is growing quite fast here in Sweden, and hopefully we will be able to connect with southern part later this year.

Well, some of you know that this instance also offers a matrix server. However, sone users have decided to join every room possible - on every server they can find. And that causes our server to run out of space and being constantly overloaded all the time. This is why we cant have nice things
