  Finally got the boat up on stands, but not before damaging the hull in the process 😭 not just a scratch; a full-on crack in the hull. We won't get getting out on the water this season. Sigh. Next thing to do- get the giant log we prepped to put under the weighted part of the keel, under it so we aren't depending on those old bottle jacks.   Two days ago is was 80*. We sat on the grass with the pups for half an hour before dinner, basking in the late afternoon sun. Yesterday, it snowed!   Two weeks of stage one grit and they seem unchanged, and that's because they are. Somehow, all the grit sank to the bottom of the barrel and created a cement-like layer of fine ceramic media and grit that never got incorporated into the mix. I've never had that problem before. When I get the obsidian rolling again, I will be giving the barrel a really good shake before I put it on the rollers. Hopefully that solves the issue. #rocktumbling #rocks #rockpolishing
