The thing that made C finally tolerable to me for use in larger codebases is that I can now write a very high-quality type-safe dynamic array, with sane memory management. (C23 + extensions are necessary.) Some demo code is linked below. This is only possible thanks to @thephd@pony.social driving typeof and defer to the standard. @uecker@mastodon.social and @erisceleste@tech.lgbt also pushed or are pushing things into the standard that help massively, such as if-declarations and tagless structu...

Y'all, that "We just did an 'AI layoff' Reddit post" making the rounds isn't real, it was a satire/humor post. I'm as on the "fuck 'AI' and to fucking hell with any self-centered prick pushing that inhumane horseshit on the world" wagon as anyone else, but let's not spread nonsense.

Me: Oh, right, Graham would be all crackers, wouldn't it? Kenya: *sighs* Sean, no, stop. Me: imma toot this on the mastydon. Kenya: What is wrong with you?

I'm starting to lose track of how to live without a suitcase. The dogs barely recognize me anymore. I'm more familiar with the inside of a 737 than my own house. I can recall my KTN faster than I can my home address. Food tastes like ashes unless it came from an airport. I can't fall asleep at the same...

Okay this is mostly because there's not much room between Kenya and me on the couch, but still, this is cute as hell.

Friend: (looking for new work) I want to stay away from tech since it's bubble after bubble. Me: Yeah, like farts in the tub. (Yes I actually thought that was clever enough to share. My standards are low, okay?)
