I'm constantly amazed by my family's musicality. I'm... not talented and not particularly interested in music, but my kids and husband are. Especially K2. K1 plays drums, but the e-drum set we bought gets used a lot by M and K2 too. I fell in love with M after meeting him as "the drummer", but only now hearing him casually play in the next room, I'm realizing his talent. After years without any training he still can whip up some impressive rhythm...

My "adventures" may very well be other people's boredom BUT I've cast on my very first sock! I've learned to knit because I wanted to be able to repair the handknitted socks I have but somehow #knitting proved to be too addictive, so I've started too many projects (as you do) and postponed the socks. Not any more! I've finished all wips except the big intarsia one, so I finally gave myself permission to start with socks (and a hat...)

I don't want to get used to be called "Bro'" or "Digger" by the kids. :blobdisapproval:

I re-knitted a felted sweater my mother made for my second child. Luckily she gave me the spare yarn! I'm a bit proud it turned out so well, if a bit more "handmade" than before (my mother has incredible #knitting and sewing skills). The blue and light grey parts didn't felt, so I only had to redo the dark grey and then reattached the cuffs and hem. The light grey at the sleeves I've added because I ran out of the dark grey.

Next week the results of my exams are supposed to come in! If I pass at least one, I'll treat myself to starting a new #knitting project (and one that's For Myself!!). Of course I have several ideas/things lined up...but what should I choose?! A big wrap would be a sensible choice, but I currently have none I'm *really* tempted to try. I'm a bit obsessed with knitting/wearing sweaters atm and have some bookmarked, but I love a good cardigan too (knitting+wearing)...

Fediverse, I'm curious: What is the one/a garment you made yourself and get the most wear out of? #knitting #sewing #crochet #TunisianCrochet @fiberarts@fedigroups.social
