<p>Military brat born in Bremerhaven, Germany in '55. Retired supervisor from Lee County DOT in Fort Myers, Fl. I've lived in Germany, Baltimore, Hawaii, Louisiana, Guam, California, and Italy. Graduated from V.A.H.S IN '73. Just after I retired I learned that now, I never get a day off. I'm a fan of Bernie Sanders so I might be a Democratic Socialist.</p>

@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social Monroe county is in the Florida Keys. There is an animal rescue farm there and they allow inmates with good behavior to work on it so I'm assuming that they also use them as pump jockeys. 😁

@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social My Dad got stationed there from '64 to '67 and it was the worst place I can ever remember being at. Grade 4, 5 and 6 at an elementary school off base, that still had colored drinking fountains.
