Somewhat curious about alternatives to Meshtastic that can be used in Ham Radio. MT has moved to all messaging being encrypted using PKI, (at least for person to person) which is a no-go for ham radio operators under license use, and they are significantly restricting sensor traffic, which is pretty much the other main use for Amateur Radio license holders. I appreciate that they are making the platform more secure for non-amateur radio users, and will continue to use that way. As an Amateur,\

AI Narration observation. I don't know of a human narrator that would read 'George Duct taped the door to seal the opening.' as 'George duck tapped the door to seal the opening' where 'tapped' would be what you might do to a beer keg. I'm kind of wondering if the AI was Mallardized at some point.

Trying to get a garden growing this year has been, interesting. Perhaps the biggest problem has been soil temp for starting things like lettuce and radishes. We haven't had a steady soil temp of over 50 F. (10 C) needed for those plants, stable at that temp for over 72 hours. This hasn't stopped the perennials that love our weather, but getting fresh crops going, hasn't been working out well. Planning on a #HomeAssistatn automation for next year.\

Earlier this spring I picked u p some 3rd Reality soil moisture sensors They come in a box of 3. And I'm well aware that many people are using ESPHome with the sensor bars themselves, and that's an option. However I've had good luck with 3rd Reality equipment otherwise, so... For next spring I'm looking to get thigs started this farll by putting one of these sensors in the ground in a protected space near the flag pole. Then setting an alert that reports when the...

#3dPrint Well, that's novel. Just had a Bambu Labs P1S hot end break in the middle of a print. Glad I have a spare hot end I can put in it's place, but I'm wondering if that was one of the reasons it was sold as a Refurbished printer. Did someone have problems with the hot end and decide, Well, I'll return it, and I just happened to get it in a 'Going to fail soon' mode? It's been working for a couple of months, so who knows. Maybe it was...
