  For what he’s trying to do, it’s not even a horrible use-case. But as someone is a ready to go to the mat on fact checking, he’s definitely not anywhere near arduous enough about it. He’s not treating it like aunt marge. You wouldn’t make a tv show around finding out truth, then go ask your aunt Marge and not follow up on her answers.   Don’t worry, it’s just the open-source version of the market correcting. There’s no stock, no venture capital. If the group putting in time and effort to help maintain something doesn’t like how the project is being run, they take a copy and start over with a new name.   Bots turn down from 10 to 3 Trolls turn down from 11 to 4 (depending on the instance) Downvotes don’t mean anything and your comments can’t generally be buried. Mods/Admins are generally far less petty Most instances are more open about things that are posted, even if the inhabitants of that instance are less accepting of it.
