I keep hearing of "everyday notebook" recently and it grates me. The idea itself is neat, but it annoys me how it's framed as "Bullet Journal without the artsy part". But the original Bullet Journal idea was already minimalistic and simple! It's not BuJo's fault that it got so distorted by social media influencers that it lost its original meaning and functionality. #BulletJournal #Creativity #Notebook #SocialMedia

@NIGHTEN I did, indeed, get that picture as an Easter gift. It's patiently waiting to be put up on my wall. It is splendid. [For others: the frame is not part of the order ;)]

During a very noisy and chaotic morning at home, headphones with ANC blasting classical music saved my sanity... ...and my #writing session. Writing report: just wrote 1172 words of the next newsletter post. It will be about how #minimalism helps me in various areas of life and what positive changes I've observed so far. I am relieved that after a few days of life-getting-in-the-way, I managed to come back to my writing projects. #AmWriting

#ScribesAndMakers 4/2. What does imposter syndrome mean to you and do you think you have it? I think I got rid of imposter syndrome once I've separated my actual #writing goals from this distant idea of a #fantasy writer. I will never write an epic high fantasy that has breathtaking world building, intricate geopolitical landscape and can fill encyclopedias. But I don't particularly want to. I want to write action-packed, funny and tight page-turner story that will hit you...

#ScribesAndMakers Apr 3 - Do you think there is a creative element to eating? Cooking and preparing food - yes. Eating - not inherently, no. At the same time, I am convinced I might see a person eat in such a way that would convince me otherwise.

Tech Tip: A free and tiny program I don't know how I ever lived without: LocalSend. You can quickly install it on your desktop and your phone, no matter the OS, and as long as they are currently connected to the same WiFi, you can quickly exchange text, files, and images. I mostly use it to quickly move a photo I just took on my phone to my desktop. Or to send a document I scanned with my phone to myself. #Tech

I am not getting anything #creative done during #Easter am I? ... I knew it was going to be like this, yet I can't help but feel a tad disappointed anyway.

#Easter #baking. First time attempting a #cheesecake recipe. During the baking, a heated debate started whether we'll have a first taste of it today already or whether we wait till tomorrow. Then the cheesecake overflew. Bits and pieces all over the oven. Gotta clean them... ...by eating all the edible bits, naturally. I love how problems solve thenseves. PS Looks like a disaster, but those bits are hella tasty. I'm calling it a win.

#Easter #cooking counts as creativity? Duck legs confit.

I am all for #BuyFromEU and trying to incorporate as much of EU-made software into my work as possible, yet I've got to admit: for my browser setup, I still roll with #Firefox with uBlock Origin. It's like Mac and Cheese, wine and olives, white socks and sandals — a truly universal combo.

#WordWeavers #WritingCommunity Apr. 6 – Can you create a character/place/storyhook/device on the spot, if you need to? If so, share an example. It's embarrassing, but no. I think I'm actually quite terrible at it. The characters need to grow in my head for a while before I can share them with the world. If not, they are nothing more than a piece of cardboard with a smiley face drawn in a black sharpie.
