Not everyone can update to the latest version of Slim, so I'm delighted to release version 3.13.0 which allows Slim 3.x to run on PHP 8.4 and PHP 8.5. Thanks to @oliver for their work on this! https://github.com/slimphp/Slim/releases/tag/3.13.0

Back in the office after an excellent #phpday! Possibly the most important thing I learned was from @ocramius: there is a `-f` parameter to cowsay!

RE: https://indieweb.social/@lornajane/116606916108970922 I love this. It is long, but Cory Doctorow’s Post-American Internet speech is worth a watch or read of the transcript. Lots of food for thought.

I have just released Slim Framework 4.15.2. This fixes a reflected XSS vulnerability in Slim’s HTML error renderer. If you are using Slim 4.4.0 to 4.15.1 and set untrusted/user-derived data into HttpException, please upgrade to Slim 4.15.2. https://www.slimframework.com/2026/05/22/slim-security-advisory.html

One of the highlights* of running my own business is that I also get to do all the admin. Today, I’ve been updating 19FT’s PI/EL insurance policy statement of fact for renewal for another year. *not a highlight at all

As noted by fellow BrumTech’er @maxw, tech is weird right now and everyone should consider whether they should join a union. I have another friend who had contract issues at the end of their employment where their union helped clarify things and supported them. Membership seems useful. Think about it. https://utaw.tech/
