This tool shows you how the people you follow, and that follow you, are spread out over the Fediverse, and explains how moderation works.   The number of cases at the PETS conference in Canada where faculty are presenting because their students could not get a visa to attend (hi, I'm one of them!) is far higher than I expected. I didn't realize the extent to which this is not just a US problem these days.

  I was just talking to some random guy at the PETS conference, we talked about a lot of stuff but ended up talking at lot about onion routing, Tor, etc. Me: "So, sounds like you've been working on onion routing for a long time?" Random guy: "Oh yeah, I invented it" "Random guy" was actually Paul Syverson, co-inventor of onion routing, and co-founder of Tor.
