    Just a reminder that the EU does not necessarily require cookie banners and the only reason sites have to put up these banners is because they want to collect your data. The ad tech industry will fight tooth and nail to keep these banners up, because they can steer people towards *more* data collection using dark patterns.     Took my ThinkPad instead of the MBP on vacation. Turns out: I don&amp;#39;t miss the Mac at all, except for the specific usecase of photo editing. It&amp;#39;s just terrible on Linux. I have no idea who designed RawTherapee or darktable, but holy moly these are bad apps. Just terrible in every regard. Never thought I&amp;#39;d say it, but I miss Lightroom.

    Over the past few days, I&amp;#39;ve played around with PySide6.QTWidgets to build a KDE desktop application. It is actually pretty intuitive to use. I&amp;#39;m not a huge Python buff, so I needed a bit of help from text books, but so far so good. Might actually open source this thing. #kde #development
