  Took the road bike for a ride, it had been *a while* because Scarbs and all. I had forgotten how fast and light this bike feels compared even to the new commuter - I try to stay around 25km/h in the city for safety and I have to watch myself so I don’t go too fast. It’s very easy to go whoosh and I know from personal experience bad things can happen when I whoosh Love this bike 💜 #biketooter #cycling #bike

  We have a bike rack in the garage, behind our car. It’s not the most practical / convenient bike parking for a commuter bike - I have to take the elevator to the garage to get there - but, for the time being, bike will be parked there so I’m able to sleep at night The road bike lives in my office because that one is light as a feather, smaller and I can bring it up or down with one arm 🪶🚲 We do what we can #toronto #biketooter #bike

  Slept very poorly and had a nightmare about my bike being stolen I’m really fond of my bike and I’m really shaken by someone trying to steal it. I’ll probably get a second lock and park it indoors overnight for the time being so at least I can sleep #biketooter

  #toronto is all very quiet since there are no more games being hosted here, and no major immigrant group teams left in the tournament. The only sign of today’s quarter final in my neighbourhood - which was insanely busy just a few weeks ago - is a neighbour drunkenly singing Hey Jude (Norway just scored another goal and it’s complete silence btw) Update: Goal was disallowed sorry #fifa #worldcup

  Went to ballet class last night now that I am close to the studio. It was an easy class, but the combo “I haven’t been to ballet in a while” + “I did leg work the day before” + “I rode my bike there” was a painful experience and today I am sad that my house has stairs

  Un-curious people are a mystery to me - how can you live your life and not ask questions about STUFF The place I have been going to yoga is in a basement of this very old building (for Toronto standards). One of the rooms looks like a vault. I asked one of the instructors - “this looks like some sort of vault” and they said “I never thought about it, yeah, this door is very big and heavy” So I did my research (tm)

  My neighbours who are an Italian and a Singaporean couple went for dinner with us, Brazilians, at an Indonesian restaurant here in Toronto last night. Our server and my neighbour had gone to rival universities in Jakarta and had some fun banter about it. This is such a perfect Toronto experience and why I love this city so much ❤️ The restaurant was Sambal on the Danforth and I absolutely recommend going there for Chef’s Table with a group of friends, the food was outstanding! #toronto

  So like, yeah, I’m moving, and I’ve had a few people from Brazil low key asking me “where”. When I answer that question they’ve said “oh I thought moving countries” I’ve said this before, but it’s been 16 fucking years and I still feel like Brazilians keep rooting for me to come back and say “Yeah you know what Canada didn’t work for me I miss Brazil”
