@peter Every news org reports on "immigrants detained by ICE", careful not to get into those controversial little details like if any laws were broken or what they were "detained" for, so it's real easy to just assume good old border patrol knows best.

@scanlime Maybe we can fix it with more Javascript

@peter Not sure where this is coming from exactly. I was unaware it was a thing until it became a meme for the crowd I follow. Every few months I hear second hand about some "Bluesky is losing users" thing and then... Nothing changes. Given a recent astroturf about how "Twitter is more welcoming for moderate liberals than Bluesky", I kinda assumed this was the same voices boosting that Bluesky was shrinking and about to fail.

@peter And maybe, ya know, use for some other things too...

@peter I'm wary because that behavior would mostly be expected if nbsp was used heavily in the source material, but that seems unlikely. Could happen due to some specific tuning even if not in training data, but seems kinda unlikely.

@scanlime While I definitely love the original a lot still, it is feeling less of what it once was so many seasons in. NZ is very much in it's stride right now, but to me it feels like where UK was at the same point in its trajectory (approximately).
