Ideas for things to do in the Fediverse for the World Cup? @football@sopuli.xyz @football@soccer.forum @fediverse I have most of the pieces in place to launch another football-focused service for the fediverse (jogabonito.community). It can be used as place to host Lemmy-style groups, but it's 100% powered by own ADAPT project. Given that it fully implements the ActivityPub API, I am wondering what ideas anyone could come up with.

Dear lazyweb, there is a video from @notjustabout about "cars crashing into stores" where he contrasts North American and European policy makers reaction to accidents, but I can't find it now. I am arguing with a couple of people who think that adoption of LLM poses no risk for the individuals "as long as they are careful and responsible". The parallels are obvious, and I think that video can make my point better than I ever will.

I'm not discarding skill issue, but holy crap how hard can it be to get an actual database working in a browser extension??! I don't mean "key-value store". I mean an actual system that can let me store structured data and make queries, hopefully filter from the the data set and ideally that lets me join distinct data sets?

Today I am seriously considering scrapping the whole extension and just taking my python code, bundling it as a application service via Tauri and be done with it.

Look at it go! (Also, a sneak preview of UI) https://streamable.com/ah5rms (Also, it's a bit ironic that I can upload videos to the Fediverse, but Mastodon refused to accept it, so I need to post a link instead)

Embedded graph database built in #rust, with #python bindings, allows storing and querying data in RDF: https://grafeo.dev/ One more piece down in order to build my dream #activitypub browser.

This started as a #getfedihired post, but ended up a little bit too long for that... https://raphael.lullis.net/adapt-activitypub/ In short, I'm looking for a company (or companies) that could be interested in investing in this vision for the social web. Please spread around.
