Voted for someone today and less than an hour later he was at my front door. Now that’s service.

All I’m saying is, if your actual job is to check tickets at the station, why wouldn’t you have your reading glasses with you? Or Reading glasses as this was GWR.

Tuesday saw me qualify to highlight the last of my rail atlas for Cornwall. Ollie and I went there years ago, maybe 2012, but missed the Looe branch. I was not prepared for how beautiful the Looe branch is, not to mention the lovely towns of East and West Looe. Did OK in the chazzers there.

Coming up: 3.5 hours on Class 800 standard class seats. Wish me luck.

Flying arrows on Stafford station, presumably from the first time around. The station was rebuilt in 1962, so would have seen steam trains initially in its brutalist form.

Just had 2 pips of the Greenwich Time Signal in The Archers Omnibus… #BBCRadio4

Saw a guy today touch his bare hand on the Oyster reader before tailgating someone (this was at the wide gate). Cheeky fucker.

GTR have made a railway safety film with Diane Morgan. I think they could have let the superb Ms Morgan have a bit more fun with it but delighted to see the top YouTube comment is this. #PhilomenaCunk

I’m very similar. But I do dip into commercial TV on occasion to mix things up a bit.

Jesus the ads on ITV4 are depressing. Abused animals. Funeral plans. And gambling.

Going through my wardrobe, I put on an old pair of jeans I’d not worn for ages and went out. I now discover a hole in the crotch / gusset. Luckily I remembered my underpants.

Astonishing that all the #Gogglebox commentators are all completely naive about sock fetishes when their programme has more sock and foot action than any other.

Well, this week has been made possible by the generous support of Lemsip and Benylin. Symptoms started on Sunday then built through the week, necessitating taking Thursday and Friday as sick leave. But now my temp’s back to normal and starting to feel better.

I found out yesterday the work laptop does fingerprint recognition. I confirmed today that it’s shit. #Microslop

Do I buy a lemon this evening or just have maple syrup with my pancakes? #pancakes

Well worth watching the James Talarico / Stephen Colbert interview on YouTube, in my view.

Today’s bus isn’t tracking but it’s dead on time. I’ll take that.

Ah, The Brutalist, a nice film about an archi… good lord.

Blinkin’ First Essex are showing a bus on the tracker that’s not in service. Bit of a shit show when I’ve been standing at this stop for 40 minutes with no service.

My heat pump cost about £44 per week (based on 24p per unit) this month for the central heating, but I’m in a big house with poor double glazing.

It’s the heat pump challenge. #HeatPump
