Sometimes I wonder about starting a local newspaper focused on crime and city hall. I am 500% persuaded that there&#39;s masses of stuff happening that isnt in the news, reddit, etc. Just don&#39;t know how to start the effort, as I am Ye Olde Programmere, not a journalist.

@btrinen its one of the different fungi known as witches butter. I forget the specifics of which one exactly likes to live in the N Seattle area but there you go. 4 years ago or so I liked to visit, hmm, Hamlin Park? in Shoreline which had a lot of those.

Is there a way to write queries and transforms over #Rust codebases to refactor. Like, all uses of a given datatype removed... select expressions from crate where footype is used update crate where footype is used set use to null

project i keep noodling on in my head. graph database of people, events, actinos annotate the connections with dates. like the Cyc system I guess, but less ambitious - maybe something about a given domain. back it up with a document, allow layering your own interpretations on top of it. sort of like a transclusion (h/t Nelson) wiki or, better yet, talmudic commentary
