Good morning! I'm delighted to announce the release of the Oral History of LIAS project. https://liashistory.com/ In 1974, Penn State bought its first computer. In 1979, it released its first library circulation module. By the mid 80s, you could search its catalog from a terminal or the rare home PC. These interviews are with 14 people who worked at the Libraries in that era. It's both a library history and a computer/automation era history.

Well, it appears someone tried to phish the entire Penn State Libraries directory (or a chunk of it) with a bogus PaLA invitation-ish. I assume if someone had replied to confirm, they'd have gotten sent to a spoofed payment site. Feel free to boost or cross-post to other social media since it's likely they're targeting other Pennsylvania libraries.

#OpenRefine has an API! Not just a recon API, a straight up interact-with-projects API. https://ruthtillman.com/post/openrefine-api-basics/ I had only seen it in passing before, but my recent project prompted me to investigate. This post is just a little taste, since I don&#39;t know it well, but it might be a starting point for others who can think of a good use case in their own work.

It&#39;s easiest when you&#39;re working on spreadsheets which all have the columns and needs.
