  Fascinating, that this 7th gen Intel box, a HP EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF still receives firmware updates! #Ubuntu and #fwupd is pretty neat. This one updates #SecureBoot stuff, which i'm not using on this box. This box will be replaced soon - i'm leaving this decision to "the next guy" ...let's see how well this box re-sells, without RAM. 😅

  Fed up with unreliably enumerating devices on consumer/office grade platforms. I'm building a new #NAS for my #HomeLab. Ryzen 3 3100, Zen2 4c8t. Great multi-core perf boost, compared to my i5-7500. I get ECC capability, and an amazing upgrade path. I'll use one of those weird ASRock Rack B565D4-V1L ODM/OEM mobos, for 50 € on eBay. The x16 slot supports 4x4 bifurcation; ASRock Rack RB4M2 holds my NVMes. I'll keep the old 4x8 GB DDR4-2400 RAM, of course i will. 😅

  For Fox' sake! Why am i "torturing" myself? Just swap the PCBs already, and be done with it! My Logitech G203 and G Pro mice share the same chassis. My daily driver, the G203, has issues with the back/previous side button - audible click without reliable result. Also, i've sanded the G203 (80 grit, light 120 finish) makes it feel like wood-ish. That's why it's still my daily. I want G203 wood feeling, BUT the reliability of the G Pro. *sigh* .....
