  The Lotus Vault is a modern ebonite safety pen with a retractable steel nib and a piston converter, with vintage styling. It's made in India. It's about as big as a Pelikan M800, but lighter. To fill I remove the converter and fill it with a syringe because the section is a little wide in diameter for some ink bottles (eg. 30ml ones). This is a Western F nib, and ink flows well in it. Also, it was quite affordable (about USD120). #FountainPens

  These are Pens by Cal camo fountain pens made of PEEK and are cerakoted. I ordered the woodland camo one on the far left and was given a discount since I was the first to inquire. They were first sold at the Manila Pen Show, but since I was a volunteer at the event I didn't get to go around and see everything. Pens by Cal is a local maker. They will be at a mini pen show at the UP Bahay ng Alumni in UP Diliman, QC tomorrow, July 18, from 2-6pm. #FountainPens

  I just cleaned my TWSBI Eco B that is dedicated to shimmer inks. The old ink was Diamine Inkvent Celebration, a red-orange ink with orange shimmer (very pretty!). I was happy that the particles were fine enough that they never clogged for the whole of the three months they were in that pen. It was easy to clean.   Took a break from work and cleaned some fountain pens. Found some stiff piston converters, so I cleaned, dried and relubed them with silicone grease. Emptying a pen with shimmer ink at the moment. Waiting for the ink to run dry. #FountainPens

  So I was at the Scribe Southern Caravan this afternoon. The Scribe Caravans are traveling popup pen stores that visit different cities in the Philippines. Scribe brick and mortar branches are concentrated in Metro Manila, so it makes sense for them to visit other metros and provincial cities so people can buy writing instruments and stationery. I bought a Sailor Tuzu ballpoint in purple to match a fountain pen I already had. And this enamel pin. So happy! #FountainPens
