My predecessor’s birth name was actually `Ricky`. So when I’m updating his old code… I am in fact changing “Ricky Ol’ Code”.

I'm tempted to pretend to be a Talent Acquisition Manager for Talent Acquisition Managers and ping and message every Talent Acquisition Manager that pings and messages me to see who is a bot / h@c|<3r / and to see if they're happy in their current Talent Acquisition Manager position.

It’s important to establish status and authority in a relationship (so I’m told), but the wife did not favour my suggestion of the steak gravy reduction I made for this evening’s tacos. 🌮 However, she did lick the gravy bowl CLEAN with pieces of the steak separately…so I stand by the fact I was partially correct! +1 point ✅

Is it normal to look forward to a work *after* a vacation to reduce my stress and get better sleep?

Just about killed a teenage dashing across the road infront of our car. Had to get out and walk back and yell at their friends that lagged behind while what looked like a group of firefighters near by watched on. I did at one point yell the words, “Do you know their parents?!” We’re all lucky today.

Pro tip to middle age dudes: invite people in their 20’s and living their best lives on your summer vacation to feel weak, feeble, and keep you completely humble and aware of the passing of time.

Remember, for efficiency non-approval tickets still need to be approved before the next stage of the ticket to receive the final approval of work that was not needed to be approved.🤔

Went to a parade today. It was hot. The building shadow was deeper into the street so viewers were off the sidewalk and standing on the road. I may have instinctively stopped a toddler from toddling into a floater vehicle b/c Mom was on her phone. And this was in part b/c the father before hand was on the sidewalk chirping at his family that they were not suppose to be part of the parade. Yeah, don’t be NPC… get involved fam!

The heat wave is making me cranky. Need an Earth Suit. I was in a waiting room and irritated by two privileged white women doing that high resister banter back and forth with that passive aggressive tone (“Oh that’s soooo nice…wow….”). It was like listening to a psychotic chess match. I was reading “Oryx and Crake”, by Margaret Atwood… so that might’ve been part of it. :/

just heard from someone with good authority (in their voice) that Renee Good deserved to die for driving into a highly trained ICE agent and they’re not concentration camps, they’re holding facilities. It’s b/c I watch and listen to the far left media. 🤷‍♂️

RE: https://mastodon.social/@eff/116817044497841517 While in college, circa 1999-2001, just the idea of 3D printers were freaking out large corps. I recall a WIRED article comparing the fear of everyone using Napster to shared Nike shoe files to print at home. 25 years later that fear has yet to manifest… but it always boils down to same argument. We cannot allow common folk to make their own stuff, otherwise they’ll stop being consumers

RE: https://cosocial.ca/@Chigaze/116517902386734911 Love the irony at the end. In the dedication to his bestselling 2006 call to atheism The God Delusion, Dawkins quoted his friend, the late fiction author Douglas Adams: “Isn’t it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?” Someone should just ask if 🤖 is god.
