  If you care about jailbreaking, I strongly recommend against updating to iOS 27.2 when it drops, as 27.2 Beta 3 is rumored to have patched an SPTM bypass. Feel free to spread the word on this. While this doesn't have anything to do with what Calif showed off, it could still be used for a jailbreak on it's own (of course support for >26.0.1 requires a new kernel exploit).

  Califs project does not use an SPTM bypass which is why in the demo they only showcased a webassembly tweak. To my best understanding it's similar to what was done with DarkSword, just a more developed environment around it and on newer versions by utilizing a new kernel exploit. The SPTM bypass patched in 27.2 Beta 3 is unrelated to that however and could in theory be combined with Califs Kernel exploit to achieve a full jailbreak (e.g. Dopamine).   So basically Apple is bullying me by revoking my dev cert every time I sideload something with com.opa334.Dopamine, so this makes testing more complicated now cause every time I need to debug something with Xcode, I now change it to com.opa334.FuckYou. Well, it looks like I fucked up and released Dopamine 3.0.5 with com.opa334.FuckYou last night. Woops.

  5 in the morning and I finally figured out wtf is wrong with Dopamine jbupdate. Turns out there has been an OOB write on a kernel pointer for the past 3 years but until now the allocation was always large enough to tank it. In Dopamine 3 I switched the allocator to one that only allocates as much bytes as needed, leading to this OOB write now smashing the next element on the heap, which can lead to all sorts of panics.   So two known issues with Dopamine 3 that are still unresolved: - OTA Jailbreak Updates are kinda borked on iOS 17+ and sometimes panic and cause some weird file system corruption. I suggest not using it and just manually rebooting and rejailbreaking when updating to a new version for the time being.   I want to mention that Dopamine for iOS 17/18 arm64 is sort of free with updated offsets and will happen eventually. The main problem is that the fix to make setuid binaries work is broken on iOS 17.0+ and it has to be rewritten in a different way.
