“Nothing physical has to break. The market only has to change its mind.” This is the scariest #AI doom story I’ve read so far. Not about AI taking our jobs, but its supporting market tanking global economy. https://www.groundbrkr.com/p/the-second-derivative-why-no-one

Running into an old friend at #IETF. Time for some friendly social conversation, so I engage and 'Sorry, my CPU is at 100%' is the reply. I smile and understand.

I have completely binged Spider Noir - charming superhero series. Best of the whole spiderman franchise until now IMHO Few things: 1 All cinematic cliches of film noir were satisfied. There were a few cool Third Man like shadows in one of the episodes. (Watch that movie people, preferably in a cinema, it has fairly recently been restored). (1/3)

“Screens have altered the way we read. They promote a shallower reading experience, encourage skimming and scanning. Reading on screen has undermined reading in general.” Yes it does. I (gen X) still (close) read long reads (mostly non-fiction), but I have to make sure all screens are locked away, otherwise I grap my phone every 20 mins. https://www.theguardian.com/books/2026/jun/02/classic-novels-relearn-how-to-read-distractions-screens?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
