Yay! Dexys! I wanted to also submit Plan B for the whole 'Bill Wither's/Lean On Me' thing, but this is a cracker too, as is Geno, not short of suitable choices from Mr Rowland! #listeningClub

while I like that song, and am a big fan of Mr Richman, I'm not sure Picasso ever recorded any cube rockin' beats, or any music at all. *eta* But it is a name drop #listeningClub

#listeningClub well, I enjoyed that. Great picks, and thanks to everyone who didn't send in American Pie and big up your chest @saucer for putting it together so well #listeningClub

#listeningclub hope everyone’s having a great Sunday, I did a slow roast lamb shoulder 4 hours at 150 with rosemary from the garden and a bulb of garlic, lovely! Also 7.50 a kilo from Lidl. Takes the edge off working tomorrow because the work cat has managed to do something to the network cables. I’m presuming it’s the cat.

Oh and pestle and mortaring some coriander leaves, a fresh chili, and the juice and flesh of half a lime together makes a really good accompaniment to roast lamb #listeningClub

#listeningClub I’ve been absent because I completely misjudged how long a tedious yet fiddly task it is to turn risen dough into what will turn into breadsticks. But enjoying the synths on this especially

I feel like I should know this…. But I don’t Hope everyone had a great week. This week I ferried 12 loud South London girls to west and back, made the best bread rolls I’ve ever made and built a neat system for work using A.I. and a technical understanding garnered from years of QAing #listeningClub

this is like bumping into late 90s music culture suavely dressed in a slightly crumpled linen suit in a hotel bar at 3 am. #listeningClub

I recognise this guest vocalist apparently he has also worked for the place I now work, albeit for one day in 1988, then dropped acid in the evening and decided that spending the next day hiding in a tree in North London, rather than going back to work Fair, as the young folk would say #listeningClub

What it *really* needs is an animation done in the style of 60s/70s British Kids tv like Bagpuss/Button Moon to accompany the record #listeningClub

I think this is the weakest point of the album, but I also like the British whimsy of it #listeningClub

Ok, that was LAUSSE THE CAT 's The Mocking Stars. https://laussethecat.bandcamp.com/album/the-mocking-stars There's very little known about him, but according to one of my collegues when she was at Leeds uni, there was a rumour that he was also a student there, and he was known for turning up to house parties and peforming in a cat mask. #listeningClub
