#WritersCoffeeClub Apr 25: Share your current biggest creative frustration So many things have to align for me to write: external circumstances and internal weather, who else is around, what might be going to happen in an hour, three hours, the following day Currently, they are not aligning #WritersCoffeeClub

"Advice? I don’t have advice. Stop aspiring and start writing. If you’re writing, you’re a writer. Write like you’re a goddamn death row inmate and the governor is out of the country and there’s no chance for a pardon. Write like you’re clinging to the edge of a cliff, white knuckles, on your last breath, and you’ve got just one last thing to say, like you’re a bird flying over us and you can see everything, and please, for God’s sake, tell us something that will save us from ourselves. #WordWeavers Mar 18: Tell us about a time when your MC failed In novelx3, Dr Andrew Bridges, the climate scientist, is walking St Cuthbert’s Way in Northumberland on a pilgrimage to Iona (it’s complicated) when he finds himself in Coldstream Coldstream is not on St Cuthbert’s Way That’s apart from the fact that he had failed to persuade the government to take appropriate action over global warming #WordWeavers #novelx3 #ClimateBridges

#PennedPossibilities 962 If there was ever going to be a film or a series based upon your WIP, what do you imagine the soundtrack would be like? What genre? Debbie Wiseman or Pride & Prejudice (Classic BBC version) or Dawn French as a vicar - what was that called?? #PennedPossibilities

I've realised today that the only place I truly relax is inside a story It can be my own story or someone else's - writing, editing, reading - it doesn't matter. Inside a story, everything else falls away and I am, for that time at least, completely at peace. It is an escape, a refuge It is why I write and why I read #story #writing #reading #amEditing #actuallyAutistic #AuDHD #innerPeace
