  Knitted two candies. I was thinking of making them for a goodbye present to all the kids for my youngest who will leave the toddler group soon to go to kindergarten. One candy takes 2 hour. Might get a bit faster with more practise. But it's very fiddly and I don't really enjoy it. So will think of something else as a present. Free pattern from drops. Used Drops Flora from my stash. #knitting

  So interesting that after all kinds of other #knitting projects that are now finished (a shirt for a friend, a dress for my daughter, another tee for a testknit for me) I'm so happy to return to my previously cast-on WIP before all those other projects started... and it feels like... ah, finally I can relax. Probably because it is colourwork and on 3.5mm needles. I'm guessing this it just my favourite knitting-setting.

  Swatched and cast-on for a new testknit... my first ever skirt and first time using a graded pattern (so you feed your body dimensions and preferences, swatch info, and you get how many sts to cast on, etc. Cannot wait to wear this this summer... linnen-cotton variegated for the body of the skirt, the blue is merino for rib band at the waist, which I have now started. Yarn by langyarns was free to use for this testknit. #knitting

  Took a risk today and wore a newly finished garment to work. And two people commented on it! One even said she is amazed by my perfect #knitting stitches, I think she meant the evenness of my knitting. Really happy with the sweater/tee, estknitted for Rachel Costello. I might try making another one with more summer yarn, this is in mohair and alpaca held double. Duotone Tee.

  In my attempt to have another easy project on the needles for my upcoming trip to Paris ---which will consist of two long bus rides back and forth, and a lot of hanging around cafes and yarn stores to knit while there-- I cost on and knit about 40% of a shirt, because best to do one more row to get beyond the difficult part, right? We're only leaving on Thursday, so I guess I will need to think of another project to cast on for during the travelling. #knitting #failure #PlanningIsDif...

  Reached the point where the pattern says to stop and make the hem... obviously I'm tall even for Dutch standards so I will just keep on #knitting... stockinette with faux icord in front and back. Testknitting this one. Love the yarn, first time knitting with silk mohair for me. So soft! Held together with alpaca lace in dark grey. #FiberArts

  Question on colour for new #knitting project. I want to make (another) Alpine Bloom tee (picture attached), fingering wool. MC teal, with mossgreen for the borders and hem, and probably a bit of the bottom of the tee -- because I don't have enough of the teal.   One of the things that occupies me most, when preparing and picking for a short trip, is what #knitting project to bring and/or how many ^^ Will be going to Norway for five days, and I decided to bring only one WIP with, a seed stitch cardigan that still needs a body (and sleeves, but nor counting on getting to those). Or maybe I should bring another smaller project. Or maybe I should finally learn how to knit socks 🤔

  The great thing about bringing only one #knitting project on my 6-days of #travel to Norway, is that I have now almost finished the body of my XL cardigan, which is quite an achievement. The other great thing is that I now have a good excuse to go to a local yarn store to buy a different size needles to finish the hem, and a new cable to knit the sleeves next. 😀 I love knitting.

  Soooooo I couldn't wait to get started on a new project... but I decided I should first finish another WIP... and I did! I finished the yoke &divided the sleeves around 9 months ago, abandoned it, then picked up the project 1.5 week ago, took it as my sole #knitting project on a trip. So now it is finished!   Next week I'll go to Paris, for 5 days, with my sister. Without our small (3-6year old) kids! Our plan is a lot of #knitting and taking in the Paris ambiance (I.e. drinking coffee, eating good food, watching people). Any tips? - non-dairy food suggestions welcome - due to illness there will not be a lot of walking possible. Although I might take a stroll, our aim is to take public transport and walk as little as possible... and knit! We're really excited! #travel #Paris #sugges...

  Went to a #knitting meetup in Eindhoven the Netherlands yesterday. With my 5yo daughter as she is very proud she can also knit. After 10 minutes she was done knitting, obviously, so she took some nice pictures :) I'm working on a colourwork sweater in the first picture.
