๐Ÿ‘‹ #DNS Internet plumbing inquiry! ๐Ÿ‘€ ๐Ÿ‘‰ Is there an RFC or similar IETF guidance on how many authoritative name servers are permitted for a given zone? ๐Ÿ‘‰ Or perhaps from ICANN? ๐Ÿ‘‰ Is any such limit standard, or is it set a per gTLD basis? ๐Ÿ‘‰ if not that, on a per registrar basis? #AskFedi โœจ

IETF RFCs are soooo good. ๐Ÿ™‡โ€โ™€๏ธโœจ They're almost always the peak human expression of complex metaphysical engineering ideas or principles - in the best terms for others to understand. ๐Ÿš€ ๐Ÿชœ

๐Ÿค” Does every registrar support glue records? If so, is this part of an RFC plus some ICANN operating covenant? Curious if all registrars or only some support this. Thanks! ๐Ÿ“ #askfedi

"I want to go to an old good website, but I canโ€™t, because their certificate has actually expired. Why is this even a problem? This is like when I go to buy a beer and the guy sends me away because my driverโ€™s license expired. Do you think that I GOT YOUNGER in the time since it was valid?" My brother. It's about the middleman's paid up license. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿ“Š #CAGangGang But this friend has 19 pages of hard-lived feels. Go OFF, my HTTPS King. ๐Ÿ‘‘ ๐Ÿซ‚ https://tom7.org/http...

"Feature #23 is worth noting in isolation. LinkedIn collects the userโ€™s Do Not Track preference, then excludes it from the fingerprint hash (line 9512, excludes: { doNotTrack: true }). They record that you asked not to be tracked. Then they track you." https://browsergate.eu/how-it-works/

@jwz howdy! ๐Ÿ‘‹ It looks like my residential egress IP is blocked at jwz.org (3.16.178.106). TCP conns fail. Perhaps I am in a fail2ban jail (70.113.38.225)? ๐Ÿ‘€ ๐Ÿ’™
