  I jsut upgraded Claude to Max 20X to take advantage of Fable availability via sub for this month. I'm about halfway through the month now and Fable will, for now be available for four more days. I got a note that said I was at 88% oiof my Fable usage until the 19th. Upgraded, and the biling gods smiled. Now all my usages have been reset to 0, and I was charged on a prorated basis. Anthropic allows you to change billing at any time, so perhaps my projects can hit it hard now. Can't wait.

  I've been using Fable today and really getting things done. I actually asked Claude what I can do to keep costs down, Here are the basics. 1. For Fable, current prices are $50 per 1 million tokens, this is like 750000 words, it's a lot. I worked on a task that built like six features and spend 172000 tokens, about $10 or so ($8 actually).   After being repeatedly accused of using AI to write posts on a forum, I have decided to stop using (a) spell checkers, (B) grammar checkers, or (C) sense, y'all better watch out, ner has been unlocked. P.s. my Mom was an English teacher. what you don't know is that my Mom edits everything that I write. ... and she's not human. So I guess I am using AI to write posts.   Apparently, Fable 5 is coming back today, to be used up ato 50% of subscription for pro and max Claude plans. After that, gotta use usage if we want to use that model.

  Just got a job posting from indeed about a chemical engineering tutor job, remote, working at XAI. I'm tempted to apply to see what happens. The flat organization described by the announcement scares me though. I doubt I'd run into Elan, but ... I'm not sure I want to take that chance.

  Far out my dude, I just heard all of my the accessibility variables I've coded for the game so far prior to launch. Lucky for me it's not the thousands that will exist ... Civ Vi's footprint is many orders of mangnitude greater than that of Civ V.   I got the air tags today and put one near the ramp to my house and one on the pole for my antenna. I was able to tell after I put the locator on my pole that the house was 73 feet away. The key is to just start walking in any direction, then the ultrawide band chip can tell in what direction your locator is. Both tags are in waterproof magnetic holders you might use to track a scooter or a bike. They are perfect for my needs, and super strong. Both are securely attached to metal. All I need now...

  Never thought this would happen in my lifetime, but I just got a slew of notifications from my dishwasher of all times. First, a software update, click to confirm ... glad it told me first sad I don't get a changelog. Second, rinse aid is empty, something that would normally be a blinky light I'd never see. IOT devices can be hazardous, but there are also major accessibility wins too.

  Also today, in coding news, I learned about csharp c# floats and spans. I'd heard of float numbers and span elements in html, but spans and floats for fast procefssing of memory, had no idea they existed. In JJ Flex, since we're creating our own DSP chain cause there's no other way to make this complicated junk to work, it's gotta process things fast.   I thought it was done raining so I took a trash can to the street. It's raining and blowing again. Luckily the can's heavy so shouldn't blow all over the place. I sure hope this is the case. Picking up those heavy bags would be a pain.

  provided I am able to gather enough data to write my stupid performance for this year, I'm planning the last sprint before release. This one's probably going to finish my foundational updates for JJ Flexible Radio Access. Then after that, I can't wait to plan and code the truly groundbreaking stuff. I now have a hidden tool in the application that I can fire and you can too if you wanna find it in the source Allows me to design sounds using the NSound library and then pass them to my assistant for use in the application's earcons. NAudio is a really powerful library, and I'll be using it extensively as we move sound around, duplicate it, mangle it etc., later. :D.

  I learned an interesting thing while working with an AI agent to help me transcribe portions of a terribly formatted pdf so it could be transcribed. I can't go into details on what it was, but I was way more successful asking it to extract the document page by page, sometimes paragraph by paragraph.   Well, that's pretty neat. I was talking to Claude about how I can get a screen shot of what it needs. I went an d grabbed a python library, wrote a python app to grab a screen shot, convreted it to PNG and is analyzing it. Oh yeah, and it also launched JJ Flex.
