So, if you haven’t read Rusty Foster’s article, here is a fully functional LLM called MicroGPT, made by Andrej Karpathy, that’s just 200 lines in Python: https://karpathy.github.io/2026/02/12/microgpt/ It basically does the same thing as the larger ones, the difference is in scale and efficiency. Would anyone claim that those 200 lines of code are somehow ”alive”?

Some more #physicalmedia, I got yesterday after the concert, directly from the musicians. Carbon Based Lifeforms. One of my long time favorite downtempo psybient artists. A Swedish duo, who started making music in the 90s, with ProTracker on Amiga. If you check out only one track, let it be Supersede from Interloper.

Connected my Technics deck to the ZX Spectrum and it works! The only thing it needed is a stereo to mono jack plug. Horizons loading. And I love that the 1084 is so versatile, has a perfect screen with the speccy too. #zxspectrum #retrocomputing

The fact that they chose the name Humanly for their AI hiring company is both brilliant and shameful

We get to decide whether to use Your Content, and we don’t have to pay you, ask your permission, or tell you when we do.” What if they’d own it?

You can't read user reviews on IMDb without logging in anymore. If you don't have an account, you can't open one without making an Amazon account. #enshittification

Offpunk is a command-line web, gemini, gopher browser, that can sync your content for offline browsing. Started using it for gemini and it's surprisingly comfortable navigating with command shortcuts and making "tours" of links to visit. https://sr.ht/~lioploum/offpunk/ #geminiprotocol #gopher
