  Been quiet lately. Just ridiculously busy with work. This week's project: setting up a PeerTube instance so I'll have somewhere to post my upcoming cyberdeck videos (oh yeah, did I forget to mention the upcoming cyberdeck videos? Sorry... ridiculously busy y'know!)

  One thing I want to try and avoid with my #cyberdeck is the overly wide / not-very-tall LCD panels that are common with many raspberry pi builds. I get why they're popular but in my case I want to be able to view web pages, or open properly-sized terminals. Vertical height is important to me. Aiming for a 16:10, 3:2 or 4:3 aspect ratio.

  I'm quite happy with the two effects I added to images in my blog. Some scanlines and magenta flickering really tie the whole cyber blog together (if you ask me).

  Fun little weekend project: I have a Fujitsu #ScanSnap scanner which is no longer supported. Their current driver/software works, but is poorly designed. I also share the scanner w/my wife so it'd be nice to have it scan to a network share. But the model I have only scans to a computer, or to Fujitsu/Ricoh's cloud service, which then syncs to OneDrive, DropBox or Google Drive. Not a big fan of sending my personal documents to the cloud. Luckily, I have a spare #RaspberryPi 4b…
