  StoryGraph import was enhanced so please give it a second chance if your first import wasn’t great. Reading progress is available so now you can track and make notes at the same time. Also please add a passkey if you have only one login method. Proof of work verification was added to login page due to growing spammers. Email sending is unblocked now but we all know it’s not the end.

  🦋 ➡ 🧩 https://bridge.neodb.net started an experiment to bridge reviews from Atmosphere (popfeed.social for now) to #NeoDB in Fediverse (eggplant.place for now) this works similarly to @snarfed.org 's fed.brid.gy, but will be focusing on culture review related lexicons. still quite early stage so expect some issues. feel free to opt-out your atproto id if you prefer not get bridged. this will be one-directional from atproto to ap, so nothing to worry if you are fedi only.

  Claim a podcast in NeoDB: if you own a Podcast and have a Fediverse account, add to your site and add link to your site in your podcast RSS. With this setup, you can claim your podcast in NeoDB, and the podcast page in NeoDB will be shown as verified. This is a manual process for now, but we will make it fully automated soon just like green check in Mastodon. Some podcasts already have both, so they will get verified automatically.

  Now you can: 📚 import reading list archive from StoryGraph, along with Goodreads which has been supported for a while. 🎶 import and preview album links from YouTube Music. Note: StoryGraph exports is poor on metadata, so some books without ISBN or GoogleBook match may require manual import. YT album link must be in format of https://music<dot>youtube<dot>com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_<id> . Other type of playlists won’t work.

  eggplant is back. known issues: some douban item can’t be fetched, importing goodread profile is also broken. will fix them soon. (both likely bc they are dealing with ai crawlers and we just getting collateral damage) incredibly busy irl last few days, sorry for delay. 🙏🏻
