Had a blast reading some fun graphic novels this weekend. Soup of Doom is so silly, but reminds me of reading comics as a kid. The monster book is almost like a Tin Tin meets Sherlock Holmes, steam punk monster hunting. Lovely illustrations and genuinely great characters. Mooncakes is a very sweet witchy teen romance. Haven’t started on the Underworld book yet, but I’m looking forward to it. #books #graphicNovel #reading

@EllieK Beautiful! I had a barred owl visit my yard during lockdown and it was so unexpected, I had no idea that they visit backyards. Lovely surprise though.

@FiStitchWitch@mstdn.social That’s really sad. I was hoping that she be saved and included with the other Dundee historic ships. Maybe they could still include her at the MacManus. Even if just photos, It would be a shame if the history was lost completely.

Made bread today for the first time in ages. Used my Oxford t-towel over the top to proof it. I’d forgotten how lovely it is with all the details drawn on. I don’t tend to notice it most the time. Made me reminisce about Oxford. I don’t miss living in Surrey but I do miss Oxford loads! #food #bread

@mountainwitch The picture is from a picture book called Findus and Pettson. It’s aimed at 4 year olds and has light hearted stories about a farmer, his cat and his chickens. It’s designed to help teach preschool children to learn about reading and learn about colors and things. Usually the cat gets into silly situations and has adventures. Don’t know who used it as a meme but there you go.
